25 november, Queen of the Park @ Waalhalla, Nijmegen

Updated: Nov 24, 2022

Not King of the Road, but Queen of the Park!

The park is Waalhalla, the Queen is.. you?

Sign up for Queen of the Road or just come by to skate. Oh, en @brigs_ink and I are releasing our collab t-shirt. Be there!

Practical info under the flyer.

Queen of the Park is an event for women and queer skaters, organized by the Rollende Mina's in combination with New Wave, FLINTA* Skate Maastricht and Alles Op Rolletjes.

It's based on King of the Park, a contest where you team up for do tricks and crazy dares. For the teams, beginners and advanced are mixed so it'll be a fair and fun battle.

You have to be at least 16 years old to join Queen of the Park. Other ages can still join to skate and drink Fristi.

Prizes sponsored by me (Vuig Clothing) and 24/7 Store Nijmegen.

Times

The event is from 19:00 till 24:00.

At 19:30 there's a skateboard workshop for beginners.

From 20:45 till 21:30 is Queen of the Park.

From 21:30 till 24:00 there will be music at the cafe and the park will be open to skate.

Costs

Select November d25th and you'll se the option Rollende Mina's Night.

Address and parking space

The event is at Waalhalla, Winselingseweg 12, 6541 AK Nijmegen. You can park for free next to the skatepark. The old entrance (the black door) is no longer the entrance; walk a little further and go in using the fence on the left.

Accessibility

Waalhalla is accessible for wheelchair users. I'm not sure if there is a wheelchair accessible toilet.

Facilities

Besides a skatepark, there's a cafe with benches, tables and a bar. At the bar you can order drinks, snacks, and (vegetarian) food.

There are gendered toilets (men/women), indicated by a blue or pink door. There's no gender neutral toilet.
